Well we (me myself and I, and the 2 dogs) finally arrived in Orlando. We did though get here 4 hours late, as it seems American Airlines changed airplane models on us. The "replacement" plane ended up not having a pressurized/heated cargo area for the dogs and then It only took them an hour at the counter to re-route our flight with the appropriate planes. And.... that was only the beginning of my day.
So many things went wrong, (I won't bore you with them) that as the day went on, I finally got to the point that everything just started being funny. That ever happen to you? I just kept thinking "OK what else could go wrong?) I also got to the point where I just decided that all the bad mojo was coming out Saturday my first day, so that the rest of my trip would be frustration free, and so for that is what is happening. Think positive.
Today (Sunday) has been wonderful, I am so so pleased with the newly restored coach. For those of you that don't know, I dropped this RV off at Jim Bounds COOP in Orlando a little over a year ago, with my wish list attached. Jim and his great crew specialize in the care and restoration of these old GMC Motorhomes that were built between 1973 and 1978. The COOP expertly navigated what I wanted, with what was economically feasible, and what was going to stand the test of time. When I arrived last night at twilight, all I could do was just stare at it and say WOW, followed by another WOW and another.....It is so nice to have something exceed your expectations. That so rarely happens. The paint job is flawless, and the interior at this point is 95% complete. I wanted to do some of the interior work, so will enjoy working on it this next week.
I feel so fortunate to have this little RV, and to have found Jim's COOP to work on it. My 2 dogs have already fully discovered the RV and have staked out their favorite places to relax and sleep. Life is good for all, and now I'm sure this trip will be fantastic!
