Remember when we were kids and school was out for Christmas vacation? One week was just an intolerable time to wait until christmas came. It seemed like ages. Now a year can go by and we wonder where it went!
I fly to Orlando Saturday to pick up my newly restored 1976 GMC Motorhome and the nerves are starting to set in. This is the biggest present I have given myself in quite a while.. Have I remembered everything? have I contacted everyone that I need to? Will my house sitter figure everything out?
It's been a long long time since I have done something this big completely on my own. It seems we usually have someone with us by our side when we go on big trips, or do something eventful in our lives. When I graduated from college I went on a long trip by myself through the south seas, and really enjoyed it. I'm hoping that I will have that same childhood wonder I had then while on this trip. Many people are with me in spirit, and hope you all will enjoy my postings as I travel from Orlando to the west coast.
Where will I stop, where will I find great things and want to stay longer? What locations will turn into a dud and I can't wait to leave? Where will I camp? Where will I decide to decide to stay in a RV resort for a few days? It's all an adventure so stay posted to find out.
